The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has debunked reports hovering around that there has been a detection of monkeypox in the Western Region.
This communique from GHS follows a social media post had alleged that the country had recorded its first case of monkeypox in the region.
The ghana health service has therefore asked Ghanaians to disregard such reports.
So far there have been Over 200 cases of monkeypox recorded since its outbreak.
The cases are fast spreading across Europe and America.
According to research Monkeypox is caused by a larger group of viruses known as the Orthopoxviruses Smallpox.
