The Founder of worldwide miracle outreach, Rev Lawrence Tetteh has vowed to support the trending taxi driver who returned an amount of 8,400 Ghana Cedis to a fishmonger who forgot her money in his taxi with a brand new car.
His motivation to support the drivers is due to the zeal and selflessness shown by Mr Ackon, the taxi driver to return the money to it’s rightful owner.
“I am happy to support him in an way. If he is going to buy a new car,we can help him with the difference to get a good car. This is a moral story. These are things we need in Ghana. This not a greedy person who wants to hush at the back of somebody’s expense. I need to support him”.
The driver became a topic of discussion on a number of social media platforms after the Editor in Chief of the fourth estate, Manesseh Azure Awuni called on prominent people in the country to support the driver beyond words of appreciation.
A number of people reached out to help. Among them was the Vice president, Dr Mahmoud Bawumia who donated twenty thousand Ghana cedis to reward Mr Ackon for his honesty and exemplary show of integrity.
Speaking with Kafui Dey on GBC breakfast show, which was monitored by newstentgh.com, Rev Lawrence Tetteh encouraged the vice president to introduce the taxi driver to past and present leaders of the country to encourage other Ghanaians emulate the act of kindness.
“I want to recommend. The vice president should not send message. He should meet him physically. President should shake hands with him. Former president should shake hands with him. He should go to president Kuffuoh’s house. He should be hosted. This are things that he will take pictures with and it will encourage others. We can also receive him here”.
He congratulated the taxi driver’s environment for a good upbringing.
“We should not forget to congratulate his parents and for a good upbringing. This is moral thing. His wife and all around him has helped in doing the right thing. This is what we need in the country”.
